The Fletcher School is pleased to announce that Margaret Sigmon, Head of School, has been chosen as one of the 2008 Business Leader Women Extraordinaire! The women recognized have shown a winning combination of leadership, achievement, innovation, and inspiration in their roles in business, family, and the Charlotte community. The twenty winners, chosen from a record number of nominations reaching into the hundreds, have made a difference in the lives and careers of countless individuals. The Business Women Extraordinaire are highlighted in the December 2008 issue of Charlotte Business Leader magazine. |

In addition to the above award, Margaret Sigmon was honored at the 8th Annual Professional Women's Luncheon in November. She was presented with a Spirit of Charlotte Award. This award is presented to women who exemplify presence, passion, and purpose and are making a difference in our community. Margaret was selected to receive the award for Presence. The following quote describes the criteria for this award; "Presence is more than just being there. It is poise, effectiveness, a quality of attraction." We are very proud of Margaret's accomplishments and well deserved recognition! |
